Dear
Chapter Members:
I am very proud to
have been associated with such a fine group of
professionals involved in the Surplus sale this past
weekend.
The weather was
ideal and the pre-event marketing was most effective. We
had a steady stream of people throughout the day. We had
a wide range of items donated. It was most impressive.
Thanks to all who
came out both Friday and Saturday to work this event. As
always, Filomena worked very hard to put on a
spectacular event together. The Re-Store of Frederick
has received all the remaining items. The Urbana Fire
Hall carnival grounds was left cleaner than when we
arrive on Friday. Our "Ask the Remodeler Booth" was not
as effective as we thought because our NARI Members were
entertaining question all day long in the sales area.
Nobody needed to go the booth because they got their
questions answered while looking and purchasing
their much needed items.
This event had
many goals. Clean out member warehouses, give a
donation to the Urbana fire Department, promote NARI
Mid-Maryland, promote my business and your business,
promote Habitat for Humanity, enjoy lunch by an
excellent caterer, and raise money for our Chapter. We
did all of this in two days. Wow, what a
successful event!
I look forward to
seeing all of you at the CotY Awards Dinner on October
21st! Please register online at
www.MarylandNari.org.
Thanks again
everyone.
